Important News From The President

August, 2010

IMPORTANT MESSAGE! No Dinner Meeting in August. Instead, I am asking you to make reservations to attend Banner Night on Saturday, August 28th at Newton Center, starting at 6pm. You must make reservations with CST PDG Bob Myers. See the enclosed flyer or call me for details. Come and show your support for our own Lion Paul Russell as District Governor. There will be special entertainment, so come and have fun!

A Lions' thanks to Lion Joanie Snyder for a job well done with the pancake breakfast. We raised nearly $500, which will go to the project fund.

Another thank you goes to Lion Ben Leslie for continuing to sell giant coloring books. If you need one, see Ben.

Initial report from Lion Rob Hochschild shows we made between $9,000 and $10,000 at the 4H Fair last month. He is awaiting final bills to be paid to know exactly what we profited.

I am asking that all projects be approved by the board so we can officially announce them as Lakeville Lions Projects. So far, for the coming year we have approved the following official projects: Fish Fry, Yard Sale Port-a-Pit, Halloween Party, Toy for Tots & Christmas Food Basket, Angel Food Ministry, Spaghetti Dinner, Strawberry Festival, and Pride Ride. There will be many more to be approved.

I want to thank those who attended our picnic at the Cove. I reserved 159 tickets and had 159 attend! Thanks again!
